Focused Solutions for a Balanced Life

It’s been hot here in Wisconsin — and I don’t just mean summer fun.
We’re on day 4 of a full-on heatwave, and let me tell you, my motivation is melting right along with the popsicles.

My two boys are in swim lessons this week and — being the little fish they are — they want to live in the pool. Which sounds great in theory… unless you’re trying to work from poolside in 90+ degree weather with Midwest humidity. 🫠

I gave in to the sunshine over the weekend, but by Monday I knew I needed to pull things together — client work, planning my week, staying visible in my business.

Because if I vanish from platforms and inboxes completely… how would people even know I’m still here?

So I did the only thing that makes sense when life gets chaotic:

I made a simple list of small steps.
Just 3–5 things I could realistically do each day to keep my business moving.

No long to-do lists. No guilt over what isn’t getting done.

Here’s what that looks like for me this week:

  • An hour of client work

  • Working on a super secret summer launch with my biz besties

  • Creating content for a few key places, a few times a week

That’s it.

I mapped those three things into my planner each day, and let everything else be “extra.”
Because small steps really do lead to big momentum — especially when you take them consistently.

If you’re in the same summer slump, here’s your gentle reminder:

✅ You don’t have to do it all
✅ You can move forward in just an hour a day
✅ Your business doesn’t need perfection — it just needs consistency

One step at a time 💜
You’ve got this.
